Toddler Separation Anxiety... HELP!

For the past 4 days {and nights}, nap time and bedtime at the
Weinzapfel household has been not so peaceful...

No bueno for Mommy and Daddy... But mostly for B.

{showing off her new Tinker Bell watering can}

B, who has ALWAYS been a happily sleep-trained baby girl- and has NEVER given us much of a fight to get some sleep when she's even slightly tired, is fighting us tooth-and-nail to keep from being left alone in her crib. Complete with epic tantrums, screaming, and uncontrollable crying {which has once resulted in her throwing up-- Again, no bueno for this momma}.

I mean, she's still sleeping 11-12 hours every night, and usually taking a nap for 1 1/2- 2 hours every day... It's just the "going down" part that has become the issue.

 {PawPaw has some great porch-swing lullabies, apparently}

At first, I thought it was a result of her cutting some teeth and being a little congested {seasonal allergies from this amazing weather, combined with having Momma's genes {asthmatic} and living in "the garden spot of the world"}... But now, it has progressed to full-blown separation anxiety!!

I've been reading up on this, and have come to realize that we are dealing with the "object permanence" phase, as well as potentially having an extremely "sensitive and deep-feeling child" which makes her more prone to these issues... But really?!
This Momma is about to go off her rocker with worry, guilt, etc...

Has/Is anyone else dealing with these issues? What are you doing/have you done with your little ones?

{stacking lemon pancakes on her head}

 Looking forward to reading your helpful comments!

Awww I know this can't be easy...I'm no help here since I'm learning as I go. I think these next few months are going to be the hardest for us!

Ugh, we're dealing with the same thing. Naptime usually goes okay, but bedtime is just a nightmare. My son calls us back in for a million little things and doesn't want us to leave. He mainly does it when his daddy is home; I guess he misses him all day and then wants to hold on to him...:( No fun for anyone. You're not alone though. Hi there! Stopping by from the blog hop and your newest follower :-)

We have a toddler at home - 19 months - and I noticed that sometimes she favors mommy over daddy because I'm with her all day. She will throw a fit sometimes when he comes home and I leave the room to cook or something. One thing that I noticed helps is when daddy spends big quality chunks of time with her. I work part-time and when I'm at work, they get good time together which definitely helps.

I don't know if that helps you, but I thought I'd suggest it.

I hope you have a chance to come and visit my blog and possibly follow back :-)

Take care,
