Here We Grow Again || 32 Weeks

How far along? 32 Weeks. Baby L is about the size of a PINEAPPLE.
Maternity clothes? Absolutely! Still mixing some old stuff in there, but it's mostly lounge wear or dresses.
Stretch marks? None yet... Crossing my fingers, because Baby L is getting bigger every day!
Sleep: Hanging in there with a few hours every night.
Best moment(s) this week:  Having our 6th anniversary as our very first solo "date night" since we moved from Indiana. Also, spending time with Uncle "Mick", Aunt Roz, and Amelia last weekend... And then Grandma and Grandpa Weinzapfel, Aunt Katie, and Sam this weekend, while they all visited us from out of town! :)
Miss Anything? Not really.
Movement: Still enjoying lots of rolls and wiggles... He already feels bigger than Brynn ever was, and he still has 8 more weeks of "baking" to go!
Food cravings: Lots of fruit!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not recently.
Gender: BOY
Labor Signs: The CONTRACTIONS have officially started, and they are pretty intense, and a little unnerving sometimes... I usually have to lay down and relax for awhile before they finally settle down. I hardly had any (noticeable) contractions with Brynn before I went into labor, so it scares me when I have more than two in an hour.
Symptoms: I feel soooo swollen, but nothing too significant.
Belly Button in or out?  In, but it's showing signs of potential to pop this time!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Mood: Excited and anxious to get closer to term, so we can meet this little guy!
Looking forward to: Grammy coming to visit in the next few weeks... Brynn turning 3... My 31st birthday... Working on the nursery. Lots of things going on in the next month!

Pregnancy Comparison: 33 Weeks with Brynn

And if I could tell my former-pregnant self anything, it would be... "Girl, go put some makeup on yourself!"

Big Sis and I have been sick all week,
and we're still trying to nurse ourselves through this yucky cough and congestion...
I'm really crossing our fingers that we don't have to hit up the pediatrician in the next few days!

It's also officially football season, and for some reason, that's making me all excited and giddy...
Which is NOT usually in my character,
so I'm chalking it up to the testosterone that must be coming from Baby Lucas! ;)
If there is one thing that I'm sure of, it's that L will be his father's son... That has to be one of the things that makes me the most excited and anxious to meet him!

Our next baby appointment is on Tuesday (which possibly might be rescheduled), and I'm very ready to hear the sweet sound of Baby L's heartbeat again...

For our 6th anniversary, Grandma and Grandpa Weinzapfel, Aunt Kate and Sam all watched our girl while we enjoyed our very first date night in Florida! We made reservations at Salt Rock Grill in Indian Shores, and even got a little crazy and went for a walk on the beach at sunset... It was beautiful. It was perfect. And it made me even more grateful for the life I share with my amazing husband! Happy 6th Anniversary, babe! I love you more every single day...

|the wedding dress|

being a stay-at-home mom makes it pretty convenient to do things spontaneously with your child...
and some of the best times I've had with Brynn were not planned or thought out.
they just happened.

it happened to have rained this morning, for the umpteenth day in a row...
so, I decided to get started on a few things on my "mother/daughter" checklist.
thanks to Pinterest, one of the items on that list is letting Brynn play "dress up" in my wedding dress.

she's not really into playing dress up yet,
but she does enjoy playing with my jewelry, occasionally...
I actually had to bribe her with my pearls to get her to stay in one place for a few minutes!
worked like a charm!

B had a lot of fun dressing up,
and we enjoyed looking at photos of all of our family from the actual wedding day...
... it's just amazing to think that 5 years ago,
she was nothing more than a figment of our imagination...
and now, I get to sit with our little girl and show her the beauty of unconditional love.

in a few days, I will be a 30 year-old...
... and Brynn will turn two.
time flies. and none of us know what the future will hold.
I certainly don't want to take a single day for granted!

happy friday.

5 Years Later...

five. years. ago
 9.8.07

for more photos, see down the aisle post

five. years. later.

we enjoyed a relaxing weekend at West Baden Springs.

the original gift... 5 years later.
i can't wait to pass this down to our Brynnie.

even though we've been together for almost nine years, we've certainly learned a lot about being in a marriage these last five years... more so in the past TWO than any!

see this fabulous article on marriage secrets.

but becoming parents is something that has bonded us far more than we ever imagined... i always knew that he would make the most amazing daddy, but no one tells you how incredible it is to watch it all come true.

he has, and always will be, my best friend in the entire world... happy anniversary, allen :)

Down The Aisle

Since our fourth wedding anniversary is exactly 3 weeks from today,
{And since Natalie @ From Corporate to Domestic had the sweetest post with this link-up-- Check it out!}
I decided to head on over to Mommy of a Monster & Twins for some wedding day "Ooo's and Aww's"

I was definitely not disappointed! And, of course, I was also prompted to start digging up photos from our wedding. *Sigh* Who doesn't love looking at wedding photos?!
Whether they're yours, or from a random stranger's special day... SO fun!

I guess I will share some photos from our wedding day now... ;)

September 8, 2007

I married my best friend.
{And the love of my life, obviously-- He wanted me to add that}

 {The bouquets weren't really that dark... I just scanned this a looong time ago}

I definitely knew then that I was one lucky girl...

... But he definitely reminds me every day just how lucky I am! :)

I could not have chosen a better husband and father for my children.
I love you, honey!

{with my besties-- Anita and Roz}
PS- HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TITA! WE LOVE YOU! :)

I guess the most notable memory from the day was the massive thunderstorm that rolled through about 15 minutes before the {outdoor} ceremony was supposed to begin... But like they say, it's good luck if it rains on your wedding day {and we got a whole lot of it at once}!
I will never forget Allen's best man, Greg saying in his speech that the rainy day was a lot like life-- but "if you just hold tight to the Cross, and hold tight to each other... It'll eventually stop raining."

Hop on over and link up to share your special photos too!
