the "ellie belly" is no more!

my brother and sister-in-law welcomed their sweet baby girl yesterday...

ellie is just so beautiful, and perfect in every way. :)

words cannot express what a blessing it is 

to add another happy and healthy baby to our family.

here are a few photos i snapped during our visit yesterday.

        life is a highway... at least, it is for two toddlers who are playing in a hospital room ;)

such precious, tiny, and dainty fingers for "miss patience."      

of course, i would love to post a thousand photos of  

one beautiful baby girl to share with you all...

but out of respect for MISS PATIENCE'S privacy, i will refrain from doing so. :)

WW | This Sleepy Baby Face

i suppose one day, i will look back on this post and have to remember all over again

what B's little baby face looked like when she was sleeping :(

she is growing up so fast, and we are soaking up every moment.

even the moments when this face is anything but peaceful and serene...

through the frustrations of potty training (which is on hold at least until after this weekend),

and the tempter tantrums, which exert her highly independent personality.

i will miss this little baby face, 

and all of the excitement and wonder that it shows me in each day.

on a side note;

tomorrow, we will be flying out to sunny tampa, florida 

to celebrate daddy's 30th birthday on the beach :)

we are so very excited!

WW | This Sleepy Baby Face

WW: Our Little Kitty

just wanted to share a couple of photos of B in her little black cat costume...

she is feeling a little under-the-weather right now,

so i'm hoping that she's up for festivities tomorrow night, but if not... 

well, these are the only two photos she would allow me to get this weekend,

right before we went to grandma & grandpa weinzapfel's 

to TRICK OR TREAT with all of the cousins...

 enjoying some "corn corns" aka candy corns.

i thought this costume would be a little warmer than the fairy costume that we had planned on...
i was so excited to use the face paint, because i wanted to do a little pink nose and whiskers.
as it turns out, the whiskers were her limit... 
actually, they were passed her limit, which is why the candy corns came in handy! ;)

and, of course, they didn't even last until we got to grandma and grandpa's
before she had them smeared all over her face... whisker FAIL.
oh well. maybe we'll have better luck with face paint next year?

            meow!

a little different wordless wednesday this week...  it's "baby-free."

while B was napping, ozzie dog and i went outdoors 

to capture all of the beautiful things around us this time of year.

   Oz decided to enjoy some "baby-free" time.

   i'm sure he thought that was pretty darn beautiful  ;)

i'm loving that tomorrow is the day for our 1st family photo session...
i'm excited to get out from behind the camera and actually join in on the fun!

remember the weather gods? yeah, they are still trying to mess with me...
50% chance of rain forecasted as of this evening. uggggh.
                         but what can you do?

at this point, i might just walk out there with an umbrella
in the middle of a lightning storm! :)

WW: Birthday Girl

our girl is two.       

 

we had dinner -and a little mini-party-   {rainbow chip cake, included}
for both mommy's 30th and brynn's 2nd birthdays, with my family this evening...
and we also wanted miles-man to be able to spend time with B on her birthday,
since he won't be able to attend her party this weekend. :(
but I'm so excited to watch B have the same enthusiasm for birthday traditions that she had tonight...
with our entire family this weekend!

... as you can probably tell, she has learned to love the tradition of
singing "happy birthday" and blowing out the candles.

this time last year, she wasn't even walking yet...

oh, what a difference a year can make!

... now, the only "hurdle" between present time 
and party time is our 2-year check-up with Dr. Marx on Thursday! :)

Wordless Wednesday: Outtakes

Welcome Sydnie Grace!

Our beautiful {and first} goddaughter was born today!

Welcome to the world,

Sydnie Grace 

born at 7:50am

7lbs. 8oz. 20in.

Unfortunately, we drove over for a visit at a very inconvenient time for Baby Sydnie. She was being primped, warmed, and made even more beautiful by the nursing staff :) So, we weren't able to hold her... 

But we will very soon!

I did happen to get a few shots of her sleeping peacefully in the nursery.

"... fearfully and wonderfully made. your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

Warming up is hard work! She needed to show off her moves for us too ;)

 B was so excited to meet the new baby... 

And Baby Sydnie has finally taken B's place as "the baby" of the family! :)

 The gender was actually a surprise for everyone, so we just had to stop by a local boutique 

to pick out a gift for a beautiful baby girl :)
