Wedding Weekend

This weekend we celebrated the wedding of one of my best friends...
Anita and Rob were finally married in New Harmony on Saturday!

They had the most beautiful country chic wedding, and I was so blessed to be a part of it all! :)

Anita and I grew up together. We spent practically every day from kindergarten to senior year with each other. We were lifeguards for our summer job together. We went to IU and lived together for a few years. She was my maid of honor... To say we have history is a little bit of an understatement.
She is like my sister, and I love her as if she were.

 The Beautiful Bride

The only requirements for the bridesmaids' attire were denim dresses and cowboy boots.
I had to borrow a pair of boots for the occasion... And after spending the weekend in them, I just might invest in my own pair! {A BIG thanks to Deb for letting me borrow these beauties!}

 There is just something so pretty about cowboy boots and a wedding dress :)

 I was so in awe of Anita's calm and simplistic approach to the day...
Here she is calmly coordinating from the window.

 Cheers to the Bride-to-Be!

 We also had some special visitors for the mommies...
Brynn and Vera stopped by to join the fun for a little while!

The wedding was at the Granary in NH, and everything was so beautiful and simple.
It was also very HOT, so the bride changed into her reception dress to cool down...
Mr. and Mrs. Warensford

 The reception was held at an old pasture by the bride's house...
We used to play there as kiddos, so it feels a little like home.

 It was so great to catch up with my high school and college friends!

... And Jen and I may have tore up the dance floor with the Cupid Shuffle. Had to make IU proud.
Just sayin' :)

These photos are after the rehearsal... We all went to the casino to win some $$$.
Of course, since it was Anita's lucky weekend, she won a lot of money to take back to FL with her-- playing blackjack for the very first time in her life! :) Lucky her!

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Warensford! I couldn't be more happy for you two!
Love you, Tita Bell!

Down The Aisle

Since our fourth wedding anniversary is exactly 3 weeks from today,
{And since Natalie @ From Corporate to Domestic had the sweetest post with this link-up-- Check it out!}
I decided to head on over to Mommy of a Monster & Twins for some wedding day "Ooo's and Aww's"

I was definitely not disappointed! And, of course, I was also prompted to start digging up photos from our wedding. *Sigh* Who doesn't love looking at wedding photos?!
Whether they're yours, or from a random stranger's special day... SO fun!

I guess I will share some photos from our wedding day now... ;)

September 8, 2007

I married my best friend.
{And the love of my life, obviously-- He wanted me to add that}

 {The bouquets weren't really that dark... I just scanned this a looong time ago}

 I definitely knew then that I was one lucky girl...

... But he definitely reminds me every day just how lucky I am! :)

I could not have chosen a better husband and father for my children.
I love you, honey!

{with my besties-- Anita and Roz}
PS- HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TITA! WE LOVE YOU! :)

I guess the most notable memory from the day was the massive thunderstorm that rolled through about 15 minutes before the {outdoor} ceremony was supposed to begin... But like they say, it's good luck if it rains on your wedding day {and we got a whole lot of it at once}!
I will never forget Allen's best man, Greg saying in his speech that the rainy day was a lot like life-- but "if you just hold tight to the Cross, and hold tight to each other... It'll eventually stop raining."

Hop on over and link up to share your special photos too!
