First Shots, First Snow... Happy 2 Months, Brynn!

Today has been a day! It's Brynn's 2 month birthday and we went to see Dr. Koepke for her vaccinations and to talk about her possible food allergy... But I'll get to that in a minute!!
It is SNOWING!! And it has been snowing all day. So, of course I captured the moment of her "1st Snow" before Daddy went to work this morning.

*On a side note, I always like to take pictures of Allen before he leaves for work in the morning and post them online to show him how his hair would look so much better if he "styled" it before he left! Haha! Love you, honey!

So back to the appointment... Dr. Koepke says that Brynn has a "mild" milk protein allergy and that I can continue to nurse her, which is great news! However, I don't think spots of blood in her diaper from her colitis are what I would call "mild," but I guess that's just me! She hasn't had any issues for a few days, so I'm hoping we've seen the worst of it! The good news is that I will be going back to work in a few weeks and I will have a slew of pediatricians at hand to discuss this allergy and most likely get more feedback... If it continues to be a problem. Oh, how I could use Dr. Tori right now! :)

I can't believe that Brynn is 2 months old!! Everyone said that time would fly by and they were SO right... She is growing and changing more each day! Officially, she weighs 8lbs 12oz and is 22.5 inches long! Dr. Koepke says that she is still in the 10th percentile in weight, but she is gaining it well.

Her 2 month Watch Me Grow photo session went so well since she is not feeling well because of her shots... She just didn't have the energy to fight me! So, I gave her her 1st dose of Tylenol for good measure, dressed her up and snapped away!

"I don't feel good, Mommy" :(

Her Boo-Boos :(

I tried to be a trooper about her shots... I have my own opinions about parents who enable their children to freak out about medical intervention, so I swore that I wouldn't be anything but cooperative and positive for Brynn when it came to vaccinations and whatever else she encounters (I mean, she is Allen Weinzapfel's daughter-- accident-prone as they come! Then again, I am the one who got my foot caught in an escalator- long story, for another day).
As soon as they stuck her with that first needle... Her eyes immediately got BIG and then came the scream! Poor little girl. :( I just remember squeezing my eyes shut and kissing her forehead... Like that would help ease the pain!! HA!

I wanted to finish this post with some smiley pictures...

Gotta love those dimples! :)

On a special note, I would like to say...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!
She is 50-something today ;)
We love you!!
God Bless,
The Weinzapfels

P.S. Sorry for the Oak Ridge Boys addition to the playlist (Allen is already making fun of me)... We used to listen to their Christmas CD in my Dad's truck on the way to pick out a Christmas tree at the farm in Illinois when we were little... Brings back a lot of memories!! It's just too bad that I can't delight your eardrums with "Jesus Is Born Today!"

Trust in Him at all times... Pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge.
