We decided to stay-put in NH to celebrate the Fourth of July this year...
Really, we had all that we needed here, since there was a ban on fireworks basically everywhere around us... Which was thanks to the lack of rain and the intense heat we've had in the last months.
We started off the morning by attending the annual Independence Day program in town.
B was on her best behavior... And we can thank our "emergency" bag of animal crackers and marshmallows (aka meelos) for that ;)
grammy, B, mommy
heading into the program at the atheneum
daddy, B, mommy
auntie man-man, little a, mommy, and B {sporting her mischievous look)
After the program, we all got into the golf carts for the parade through town, lead by the best dressed drum major on his bike!
There were quite a few golf carts decorated for the parade... And just to keep things safe, our town marshal decided to "clock" us to make sure we weren't speeding ;)
After lunch and naps, it decided to storm... FINALLY.
It was so HOT that it made the streets literally steam for about 15 minutes afterward.
B wasn't as impressed with the steam as we were... She was more interested in the mud puddles :)
love. this. girl.
little a joining in the splashy fun!
i hope you all enjoyed your fourth as much as we did...
hopefully next year we'll partake in a little more fun with fireworks!!
god bless america

We didn't see fireworks either... next year right???? (I always say that though :)
The picture of Brynn in the puddle with the kissy face and humid hair is just too cute. You're getting very good at taking pictures!
those pictures of her in the puddle are soooo adorable!
I love when puddles steam in the summer time - so cool!
Her dresses are the best!! Love how stylish she is! Sorry you didn't get many fireworks, but it was probably better for B's sleeping anyway. :) Glad y'all had a great 4th!

Is this not the most perfect way to spend the Fourth? Love it. Especially the standing in the puddle, like, of course one should do every opportunity one gets. =)
