Strawberry Cacao Frozen Yogurt {RECIPE}

After a long, {extra} HOT day of trying to wear down a canine-teething, slightly rebellious, 20 month-old little lady (and her puppy), I was definitely craving a sweet, cold treat...

sharing crackers on the porch.

So, the Hubs and I decided to finally try out a frozen yogurt recipe with our KitchenAid mixer attachment. We've had plenty of success with regular ice cream recipes, but we wanted to try something a little more healthful this time. Here is what we came up with.

Frozen Yogurt

1 container sweetened condensed milk
Desired amount of fruit {strawberries}
1 container of Greek Yogurt
1 tablespoon of Cacao nibs
Crushed pistachios (optional)

Puree fruit, nibs, and sweetened condensed milk in blender.
Add yogurt and mix well.
Add mixture to ice cream maker and follow manufacturer's directions.

Serve in bowls and sprinkle desired amount of pistachios on top.
Eat quickly! :)

 delightful.

For those of you not like my husband, who don't particularly get excited about soft-serve {like me, for example}... I would suggest adding either whole milk or cream to make it "stand up" a little better :)

I hope this helps cool you off... We're in for a HOT week!

That is the sweetest picture ever! And I just realized that Brynn and my nephew are the same ago so I have a really good idea of where you are toddler-wise. 20 months is kinda crazy - ha! :)

Enjoy that soft-serve!
