Stinky Feet

I seriously  looooove  Pediped shoes.

I mean, if The Hubby would let me, B would have a pair in every style and color... They are just awesome.

What's not so awesome? That a toddler wears them.
Which means, they get "Toddlered"-- wet, dirty, and smelly!

I'm not the kind of momma that makes her kiddos hold back on a little fun based on what kind of shoes they are wearing, so when B goes for it in the dirt, mud, or water... I think, "Awesome... She's being a kid and that's what matters the most."

Never mind that those shoes are going to be no bueno after the leather and mud ferment overnight.
Go ahead and wipe them out post-romp... It really doesn't make much of a difference if they are still wet.

Here is what I've been doing to make B's feet a little more fresh...

How to clean your Pediped shoes:

Wipe shoes clean with mild soap and water, or you could even use baby wipes
(which is what I usually use)

Allow them to mostly air dry,
Place shoes in plastic bag,
Add about 1/4 cup baking soda to bag, making sure you get most of it inside the shoes
{especially the toe areas}, -- if you really want to get fancy, add some essential oils to the baking soda before you add it to the bag.
Let sit at least 12 hours in the bag.
The baking soda absorbs the residual moisture and the odor as well! Yea!

Carefully remove shoes and dispose of baking soda.
Wipe out shoes with dry paper towel to remove remaining baking soda... and voila!

Fresh shoes!

I love pediped, too!!!! They fit chunky feet so well. Liam's foot is so tall and fat that I can't squeeze them in other shoes. Love them!!!

We don't have any of these shoes BUT we do have stinky feet issues in our house too haha.

We usually run all the shoes through the washing machine even though it says no to - haven't ruined a pair yet but I'm waiting for the day

Love this post. I also LOVE pedipeds, but will say, the girl shoes are much cuter than the boys! We have a stinky feet problem around here as well...I have a very similar cleaning method. I stuff the shoes full of dryer sheets and then place them in a plastic bag overnight! Oh so fresh in the morning:)
