Watch Me Grow, I'm 11 months old!

I am definitely not one of those mommies who gets all "teary-eyed" over every little milestone that is achieved...{not that there's anything wrong with that, I just rarely ever cry over anything}
Usually, I'm SO excited to celebrate B's monthly birthdays... However, 11 months has hit me a little harder than anticipated.

B, this is your last monthly birthday we will be celebrating... ever.
You aren't going to be our little baby anymore.
That tiny baby whose sweet cry in the delivery room made my heart smile for the first time in my entire life... like only a true gift from God can do!

The tiny little person who gave Mommy and Daddy a run for their money the first week we brought you home...

{She came alive after 9pm, and we eventually had to sleep in "shifts" since she refused to sleep in her bassinet for more than 5 seconds. "Sorry, Mommy... No body warmth, no sleepy!"}

That baby who was NOT a fan of the monthly photos at first...
Especially if it meant that Mommy wasn't holding you!

Who gave me the strength and courage to live (and love) my life a little differently than I had planned after we moved from Indianapolis...

Just look at how much that tiny baby has grown...

{we had so much fun watching the ducks and the waterfall...
and you even tried a few leaves for your lunch!}

{LOVE these faces}

 Scary face! :)
She's actually performing her "fake laugh" in this shot...

God has certainly blessed us with an incredible gift in you, Brynn.
Here is some of what you've been up to this month.
  • You are such a sweet girl, and for that, I am truly proud. You give the best hugs and kisses to everyone... It melts my heart to see.
  • You are in size 3 diapers, but I have a feeling that's not going to last too much longer...
  •  You have 5 teeth as of right this moment, but there are a few trying to make an appearance...
  • You are such a great little eater... I am a little nervous about weaning you from your bottle, though we have already started trying!! We'll see how it goes.
  • You have quite the vocabulary these days... "Mama", "Dada", "Pawpaw", "Woof-woof", "Meow", "Uh-oh", you say "Duh" for Dora {the Explorer, your favorite} and point at the TV, "No-No", "Yum", "Mwah", "Yea"... You surprise me with a new word or sound almost daily. You're just a little mocking bird!
  • You are crawling, climbing, walking-- along furniture and with your little cart... But you have absolutely no desire to walk as your main mode of transportation yet, which is just fine! I know you will do it when you're ready... Mommy isn't all about forcing the issue. ;)
  • You have started to "yell" if you don't get something that you want... Like Goldfish crackers. You are obsessed with them! You scratch your little finger on the little goldfish-guy on the box, and when Mommy says "no-no," you give me a little attitude. I can't help but see a little of myself in you when you do this, which can sometimes be funny ;)
  • We have implemented the "counting" method when you are causing trouble... You have to the count of three before Mommy intervenes. You have caught on well so far, but it's {obviously} still a work in progress.
Brynnie-Bear, you are just the light of our lives!
Daddy keeps saying that we should just stop with you, because we lucked out so much... :) I think he needs to remember this when you go through the "Terrible Two" stage. Hehe.
Your first birthday plans are in full-swing, and I will be mailing the invitations out this week!

I am so excited to see what you have in store for us in the next month!!

I was SO sad thinking the very same thing today... :( It's so amazing how much they grow in less than a year. And, it's amazing to me how different babies are! B's vocab is NOT so advanced, she seems to love sounds more than anything, but not many words yet. Which, I'm okay with. But man, she WALKS. They all have their own timeline - I love it!! I may have to do an 11-month post tomorrow, I was contemplating it before and now I feel like it's a must.

Looks like our babies are just about the very same age! I am going to have to try this counting method. I think I have about a hundred opportunities a day to use it!
